Neuropsychological Care for Growing — and Every — Mind
Dr. Myeong Jin Kim is a licensed psychologist and certified school psychologist offering neuropsychological evaluations and evidence-based psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults. She provides services in both English and Korean.
Neuropsychological Evaluations
Dr. Kim's evaluations go beyond diagnosis. Through careful, culturally sensitive assessment, she uncovers each client's unique neuropsychological profile — identifying learning differences such as dyslexia and dyscalculia, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, executive functioning challenges, and twice-exceptional (2e) profiles. Every evaluation is designed not just to answer what, but to illuminate why — and to translate findings into clear, actionable guidance for families, schools, and providers.
School Psychology & Special Education Advocacy
With extensive experience as a school psychologist within the New York City public school system, Dr. Kim brings an insider's understanding of special education law, policy, and practice. She is deeply familiar with the IEP process, Section 504 plans, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and the specific regulations governing NYC Department of Education services. This expertise allows her to serve as a powerful bridge between families and schools — helping parents understand their rights, interpret evaluation results, and advocate effectively for the services and supports their children deserve.
Psychotherapy & Support
Dr. Kim offers compassionate individual, couple, and family therapy for anxiety, mood concerns, trauma, and social challenges. She brings a deep understanding of cultural identity, life transitions, and the immigrant experience — creating an affirming space where people from all backgrounds feel genuinely seen and understood. Korean-language sessions are available.
